Tin Lizzy’s just opened their newest location in Dunwoody. The spot, located near Perimeter Mall, is the fourth location in Atlanta for Tin Lizzy’s. The space is large and well-suited for groups, although there were several families there when I visited. Tin Lizzy’s invited me to drop in on their opening weekend for a complimentary meal.
The parking lot is somewhat awkward. There are only a handful of spots in the front the restaurant, all were taken at lunch when I visited on a Sunday. Your best bet is to park in the lot adjacent to the bank and walk over.
I sampled their Saint Rita (St. Germain Margarita) but found I preferred their Texas Margarita instead. They also have a good selection of beers on draft. Besides Dos Equis, Modelo and Sweetwater, there were two I’d never heard of: Hennepin was one of them. Bartenders were happy to let me taste the few I hadn’t heard of, and I found them to be quite good.
Tacos, quesadillas, burritos and the like are on the menu. I found the Sante Fe Steak and Korean BBQ to be quite salty, but I liked the Chop Chop Shrimp with Asian slaw and Pumpkin Seeds to be satisfying. It is a good choice if you are in the area and have group to feed and want to do it inexpensively. It does get crowded, even at off peak times. At 2pm on a Sunday, they were on a wait.
