Atlanta Food & Wine Festival 2015

The Atlanta Food & Wine festival is back! The Atlanta Food & Wine Festival takes over the Loews Hotel and much of Midtown Atlanta for 3 days, May 28-31, bringing together chefs and food enthusiasts from all over the Southeast. Besides classes during the day, there are tasting tents each afternoon and special event dinners by well known chefs.

Having been there the last two years, I’ll definitely say one day is a good idea to get a “taste” for the event. And I really do feel that I get more out of the classes than the tasting tents. That being said, while it is rare, classes can be disappointing. For example while I loved a butcher class at the Atlanta Food & Wine Festival (yes, they brought a whole pig into a classroom and showed us how they butcher it!) a southern class from Todd Richards and Duane Nutter felt as if no thought had been put into it.

This year tickets for many events are already sold out including day passes for Saturday and Sunday as well as Saturday tasting tents. Find tickets to the Atlanta Food & Wine Festival here. Still Available for Connoisseur and General admission are the following:
3-Day Passes
Friday Day Passes
Friday Tasting Tents
Sunday Tasting Tents
Select Dinners & Events

Some interesting classes / demos :
Friday – Rice (Learn how this staple crosses cultures in our cooking)
Friday – Mississippi – Unexpected Heritage
Saturday – Test Kitchen (Chilies – learn how to roast and bring out the flavor)
Sunday – The Italian South
