Andretti Karting: gaming + food keeps everyone entertained (Video)

Andretti Karting has evolved into much more than go karts. There’s plenty of challenging obstacle courses, 7D video games and delicious AF food. If it has been a while since you’ve been to Andretti, here’s a preview of what you can expect.

Andretti Karting Marietta Food:

Having been to places like Dave and Buster’s and found the food unimpressive, I didn’t have high hopes for Andretti’s chef inspired menu. The  menu features, wings, pizzas, burgers and other items like salmon and ribs too.

Margherita Pizza at Andretti Karting Marietta

For starters, we ordered two kinds of wings: mild and sweet jalapeno, plus the Margherita pizza. The wings were devoured quite fast, though we had a hard time discerning between which was which flavor. As for the pizza, Andretti Karting Marietta even has a brick oven for cooking pizzas, rendering the pizza pretty flawless and lovely quality toppings.

The Angry Italian Burger at Andretti Karting Marietta

My dining companions had no complaints about their salad or chicken fajitas. While I was tempted by the Philly Cheesesteak, I couldn’t resist the Angry Italian burger, topped with spicy Italian sausage and provolone. It was thick and juicy, but a little more done than I’d have liked. However, I did like the care they took to make sure the sausage was patty-shapped to fit the burger and bun.

The best thing we ate that evening were the St. Louis Ribs prepared on the Big Green Egg. Did you know that  Andretti Karting had an entire section of items prepared on the egg? Oh my gosh, the flavor of these ribs!

Andretti Karting Marietta Games:

Think there isn’t more to Andretti Karting in Mareitta than racing? Oh, how wrong that is. Besides more than 100 games (you know I’m the skee ball Queen, right?), there’s a 4,000 square foot laser tag arena and 12 lanes for bowling.

Aaaand….they’re off!

Ropes obstacle course at Andretti Karting Marietta

Andretti Karting Marietta makes full use of their space. Besides everything mentioned above, they have a Ropes obstacle course. I didn’t try it, but let the guys go through it and the racing that evening. I did an obstacle course when I visited Callaway Gardens a couple years ago and still feel sufficiently challenged from it. After getting belted up and secure, they were off. We watched from down below as they made their way through each section.

As much as I love skee ball, I found something I love as much, maybe even more. Killing zombies. It happens on the new 7D, yes 7D game, Dark Ride. Price is just $6 per person but if you want to do it, I’d recommend earlier in the day as the lines seemed longer as the evening wore on. Only 8 players at a time are allowed, but it’s fantastic.

Need a break from the kids? Head up to the sky bar, which overlooks the racing. You can see it from Andretti Karting’s restaurant. I took a peek inside, but I was having too much fun playing the games downstairs to stay.

Summer is just around the corner, so if you are wondering what to do with the kids or if you are having visitors, Andretti Karting Marietta is something to consider. Pricing is very reasonable with both laser tag and the ropes course less than $10 per person. Racing is $25 per person.
