Bellwood’s Social House – A blend of house-ground short rib and brisket grilled on the Big Green Egg, the burger is topped with bacon, caramelized onions, housemade bread and butter pickles, American cheese, lettuce and tomato and topped with Krussian sauce, inspired by a Puerto Rican condiment served with fried appetizers.
Mmm…it’s so simple and light, yet so satisfying. Enough said. And for the north side, there’s also a location in Avalon Alpharetta.
Why would you go to a sushi restaurant for a burger? When said burger is a delicious tuna burger. Stay for the amazing cocktails.
Like lots of choices when it comes to your burger. The Counter in Roswell, takes the build your own burger concept seriously with lots of toppings, sauces and beyond. Make sure to get a side of the fifty-fifty fries (half sweet potato, half regular) and a brew to wash it down.
East PointCorner Tavern
Their grass-fed-served-on-a-Holeman-&-Finch-bun burgers are terrific. You can get a specialty burger like the El Diablo, topped with Salsa, Sriracha and Jack cheese. They do a great fried burger too!
Del Frisco’s Grille
Any place that does steak this incredible, must do a fantastic burger. For Burger Month, they are ofering a Prime BBQ Beef Burger (Aged Cheddar, Hickory Smoked Bacon, Bread & Butter Pickles, Tobacco Onions).
Bistro Burger, a half-pound certified angus patty, pecan smoked bacon, provolone, gorgonzola, romaine, red onion, tomato, served with french fries.
Remember when FLIP first opened and it was THE restaurant to visit with crazy long waits? Those days may be over, but they still make a damn good burger. The burgers look deceptively small (somewhere between the size of slider and regular burger). But once all the toppings are piled on, it is quite a filling meal.
This is a bagel place, right? While their sandwiches and spreads are heavenly and they have a Reuben to die for, a ground sirloin cheeseburger is marvelous. And you’re in luck – they have multiple locations around the city.
Man do I love a Grindhouse burger. They have a variety of styles like the Dixie and the Apache, but you can go wrong with the classic Grindhouse style with American cheese, Grindhouse sauce and grilled onions.
New on the Westside and offering an Asian twist on bar food with items like Thai Tater Tots, they also have a delicious burger. It comes with cheddar cheese, kimchi, fried egg, bbq sauce and a srira-mayo sauce. Amazing and messy and totally worth it.
Salt Factory Pub
They have a slew of various burgers. Here are some highlights. The Roswell, coated with chow chow, tomato, candied bacon and sharp cheddar. Or the steakhouse, topped with Applewood-smoked bacon, cheddar over-easy egg, crispy onions and house-made barbecue sauce. On a health kick? Try Salt’s quinoa burger – a quinoa patty with watercress, tomato, lettuce and lemon aioli.
The 50/50 Burger | Seven Lamps
A popular off-menu item, this signature burger features an 8 0z. patty that is a 50/50 blend of Brasstown Beef’s grass-fed brisket and top round with bacon, caramelized onions, grilled cheese gratin, house-made Thousand Island dressing.
Sweet Auburn Barbecue
Auburn burger volume iii, is a spicy and Southern treatment topped with housemade pimento cheese and bacon marmalade in addition to fresh jalapenos, housemade pickles and house made barbecue sauce.
Table & Main
If you are on the north side of town, head to Table & Main in Roswell. The 1/2 pound burger is topped with bacon jam and a side of “gas station” fries.
Village Tavern – OTP? Not to worry! They have a terrific selection of burgers, including my favorite, the pimento cheeseburger.
Given the fancy schmancy Buckhead address, I was surprised that most burgers are only around $10. Of the three we tried, Zin Burger, El Diablo, Kobe, and Turkey burger, hands down the Kobe burger rocks.
