Earlier this year, Christophe’s To Go, offered me the chance to try several of their prepared foods to go. I visited one of their retail locations and picked out the items of my choosing. Color me surprised at the many options available including soups and sandwiches as well as pork, beef and lasagna. My favorite of the bunch I sampled from Christophe’s To Go was the Beef Burgundy. Not only is the variety at Christophe’s incredible, but they offer many items for dietary restrictions like Gluten Free, Vegetarian and Paleo.
Christophe and his team recently opened a huge new kitchen for Christophe’s To Go in Duluth and invited me to come tour the facility and have a lovely meal with them. Upon entering the kitchen, we immediately noticed the cleanliness and orderliness of the huge facility. Meats are completely separated from non-meat items as well as Gluten-free items, so there’s no concern over cross contamination.
After a tour of Christophe’s To Go, our small group was treated to a lovely six course meal. Freshness is paramount to Christophe’s To Go and you can see the fresh piece of salmon being prepared right before it was used in our first course at Christophe’s To Go. Below, see a sampling of some of the lovely dishes prepared for us by Christophe and the rest of the team at Christophe’s To Go.
Carrot Puree with Curried Pistachio and Spicy Popcorn
Lamb Shank with Potato Gnocchi and Mushrooms
Poached Peer, Blue cheese and Frisee Salad in Roll
Caramelized Apple, Hazelnuts, Raisins and Meringue
Unfortunately, the retail locations have recently closed, but don’t worry, you can still get the food delivered to your front door. The small delivery fee is $6. However, any orders over $55 have the delivery fee waived. Christophe’s To Go even does catering. Whether you’ve got an office luncheon or you’re interested in hiring the team to prepare a fancy 12-course meal, they can do it. Hey, Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and Christophe’s to Go has Thanksgiving dinner covered for you. Visit the Christophe’s website for more information.
Since this was media dinner our food and beer was complimentary but the opinions expressed are my own. See what our friends over at Marie, Let’s Eat had to say about Christophe’s To Go new kitchen.
