mothers day gift guide picky moms

Mother’s Day gift guide (2017)

Sure, you can take mom to brunch for Mother’s Day. Or, do one better, and make her brunch! Of course you’ll need a gift or two to celebrate this special woman. Here’s a guide on some fabulous gifts that mom will love.

Amelia Toffee

mothers day toffee gift

Is your mom a chocoholic? If so, treat her to the ultimate toffee chocolate. Handcrafted by hand in Jacksonville, FL. The toffee uses ingredients – Florida peanuts, California almonds,  dark chocolate from Georgia and Maker’s Mark bourbon. My two favorites were the Sea Salt and Bourbon. Prices start at $7.

Aerating Wine Glasses

Who wants to wait to let wine breathe? These aerating wine glasses (a set of two) are an outstanding gift mom with love. The smart design allows for the aerating process to begin as soon as wine hits the glass. It looks pretty cool, too. Available on Amazon, $56 (click image to buy).

Botanicals Coconut Milk Bath Soak

Maybe you can’t afford to give your mom a day at the spa, but this can get you a little closer. This milk bath soak is incredible for the skin and is made of all natural ingredients — primarily coconut milk, which leaves skin feeling silky smooth. Available on Amazon, $24

mü Cocktails

Drink these cocktails by themselves or add more booze for a kick

If mom likes her drinks on the sweet side, then she’ll love mü. These sinful drinks mü come in four distinct flavors: Vanilla Latté, Chocolate Chai, Coco Cappuccino, and Espresso Macchiato. You can drink the as they are (I recommend over ice), or add vodka to kick it up a notch. With beautifully designed packaging, mü’ bottles are ready to give as a gift with just a bow on them. Note: I received complimentary samples of these to try. I loved them just plain with no added liquor!

Velvet Caviar Phone Case

What’s the one accessory we have with us all time? I mean, besides our purses? Our smart phones right? If your mo is someone who’s always go her phone, make sure she accessories it beautifully. I love these phone cases from Velvet Cavair.

ceramic straightening brush giftDafni Hair Straightening Ceramic Brush

This is a brush and hair straightener all in one. Sure, there are cheap straighteners, but when you invest in a quality one that is made with top materials like this, it will not only last you a long time, but also keep your hair healthy. This hair straightening brush also heats up in less than one minute.

It’s available on Amazon for $150.

Moxie Showerhead and Wireless Speaker

Is your mom in love with her iTunes playlist? Does she want to have it everywhere? If so, she’ll definitely want this shower speaker from Kohler. Probably the coolest shower speaker you’ll ever see, this wireless speaker fits right into the accompanying showerhead (it’s attached with a magnet).

It streams playlists, audio books, podcasts, whatever. It pops out easily when it is time to recharge it. The speaker / showered combo is available on Amazon for $78.

Phone picture printer gift for Mother’s Day

What mom doesn’t love to print her pictures. Now mom can instantly print out those family photos (or selfies) she’s always snapping. iPhone 6/6s-compatible, and comes with 10 adhesive-backed photo papers. I believe that there are other printers by this brand that are compatible with other phones too.

Now the only problem will be where she’s going to keep all the extra photos she’s printed and scrapbooks she’s making. Available at Urban Outfitters, Bloomingdale’s for $150.

Battery operated Portable grill

Whether space is an issue, or your mom isn’t a “griller’ she can feel like with without the hassles of traditional grills. The Gourmia Portable charcoal electric BBQ grill makes incredible-tasting burgers, steaks, and vegetables. Plus it is portable if your mom like to tailgate. It’s got a built-in fan that controls airflow to use less charcoal, as well as removable non-stick parts for easy clean-up.
