With Valentine’s Day quickly approaching, it’s time to secure plans for you and your special someone. At this late date, many restaurants are booked, but you can still find some great restaurants:
While only very early or late reservations are available, Valentine’s pre-fixe menu at Davio’s is still quite enticing. Expect Lobster Bisque, Colossal Shrimp Cocktail and Shrimp Ravioli. This lovers’ feast is $70/person, or $95/person when paired with wine. Pastry Chef, Kathy Miliotis, is creating homemade conversation hearts to cap off your romantic evening.
Chef Kathleen’s homemade conversation hearts can be personalized with any message for Valentine’s Day (see recipe below). Davio’s Atlanta will be accepting message suggestions for the Candy Hearts on Twitter via @daviosatlanta and hash tag #candyheartsATL. Guests can look for their suggestions on the candy hearts during Valentine’s Day at Davio’s, Thursday, February 14th, 2013. If their message selected, they will win a $50 gift card to Davio’s Atlanta. All messages must be “tweeted” by 6:00pm on Wednesday, February 13th, 2013 for consideration.
Basil’s in Buckhead has open seating. Love this mediterranean restaurant and the cocktails are quite tasty too!
Cafe Circa – No special Valentine’s menu, but just a cool, romantic place to have your celebration dinner.
Cellar 56 – Share tapas here with your sweetie for a very romantic dinner. Afterward, head over to Prohibition for some 20s era cocktails.
Cucina Asellina – This casual yet romantic spot is the perfect for a light meal with your sweetie.
Hobnob – for only $25 per person, Hobnob has a great offering: Duck Breast with Cherry reduction and Saffron Risotto and ice cream topped brownie.
Livingston Restaurant located in the Georgian Terrace still has tables available. Featuring 3 Course Menu with a complimentary glass of champagne with dessert $55/person
Modern Restaurant + Bar. Love this super sexy date spot. Snag a gangster booth if you can!
Ray’s Restaurants – They are celebrating all weekend long. There’s a chef special menu at each location.
Tantra – although there are limited seatings available, Tantra is totally romantic. A 3 course menu, numerous selections of Appetizers, Entrees & Desserts. $55 a person includes a glass of Champagne
TWO Urban Licks– Enjoy live music and a view of the Atlanta skyline. Expect late night dining only as peak times are taken, but TWO is serving until midnight on V-day.
YEBO Restaurant + Bar: Belles and beaus can fan the flames, rekindle the romance or spark something new at the restaurant’s Red Hot Party on February 14.
Atlanta Botanical Garden is hosting Valentines in the Garden on Feb. 14 from 7 to 11 p.m. with an evening of cocktails, dancing, desserts and live entertainment. Admission is $30 per person.
We know Valentine’s Day is never lacking in romantic options for those with a leading lady or gent, but fear not singles, there’s a great new option for you to consider this year (and no, it’s not the release of the Die Hard sequel).
Fill the heart (and belly) with drink specials all night long, including shorties of 4 Roses Whiskey paired with a pint of Bell’s Two-Hearted Ale for $10 and $6 glasses of Thorny Rose Blend wine. But before drinking up, be sure to eat up. This small bites menu features four single-serve: including a marinated beet salad, crab cake with white wine remoulade, flank and frites with garlic aioli, and shrimp deviled eggs.
On February 15th, head to Highland Ballroom to join Baton Bob, Scoutmob, and Frozen Pints in a celebration like non-other, aptly named: “Broken Hearts Ball”. What could be better than eating craft beer ice cream alongside Atlanta’s number one cheerleader, and our favorite mustachioed mobsters? I dare you to think of a better alternative. This can’t miss event is a mere $25.
So whether you’re paired up or flying solo this year, there’s plenty of celebrations to be had.
