Best Korean BBQ Atlanta

The Stone Grill, Duluth, Korean barbecue at its best

Want to try Korean barbecue but not sure what it’s all about? Here’s what to expect.

The Stone Grill opened in 2015 in Duluth. Part of the gigantic shopping center that includes several other restaurants and a Super H Mart, if facing H Mart, The Stone Grill will be to your left.  The interior features stone walls and granite counters, so it is definitely a cut above many other Korean barbecue restaurants. Grills are installed into each table plus tables are outfitted with ventilation hoods to avoid getting smoke all over your clothes. It all adds up to a unique and fun choice for group dining and because of its elevated decor could totally work for a business dinner too.

All the meats (feeds 4-6 people) at the Stone Grill

The Stone Grill does have an AYCE option for about $25.99 per person, but the family dining option (The Stone Premium Combo) has so much meat that feeds four to five people for $130, you can’t go wrong with that. It’s what we got for four of us and it was a generous plenty. Not only is the food plentiful with a couple starters, you’ll also get to try a variety of meats like pork ribs, ribeye, filet mignon, short ribs and pork belly. Only want beef? Order the “Premium One Cow Set” for $150.

We each got a sauce tray which had 4 sauces: a salt, pepper, and oil mix, ssamjang (Korean thick spicy paste normally used for wraps), chili sauce, and a tangy mustard-based sauce. The mustard based and Ssamjjang sauce were favorites at our table. Though the meat was cooked so perfectly and so fresh, it didn’t need any sauce whatsoever. Some of our favorite cuts were the short ribs, ribeye and marinated pork.

  • The steamed egg (gyeran jjim) was terrific.
  • They cut meats with clever scissors.
  • Korean barbecue is a good choice for those avoiding carbs.

The Stone Grill is open seven days a week, all day for lunch and dinner. And they are open late on Friday and Saturday night until midnight. So if you get a late craving, they are there for your Korean barbecue fix. I love that everyone at The Stone Grill is so extremely friendly and more than happy to answer any questions we had.
