Atlanta has no shortage of Mexican restaurants. Tacos and Tequilas strikes a perfect mix of laid back, yet a fun atmosphere that makes you want to linger and slowly sip on your margarita.
It’s rather large so good for groups and a nice choice as Mexican is certainly a crowd-pleaser.
Steak was a grilled skirt steak topped with grilled shrimp, served with a cheese stuffed poblano pepper. Steak isn’t something that tempts me at many restaurants, but here, with the Mexican spices and smoky pepper, it was terrific. Another entree specialty at Tacos and Tequilas was the Chipotle Shrimp. A dozen shrimp topped with house-made salsa Chipotle and served with grilled asparagus and Chipotle mashed potatoes. While I did enjoy it, the steak entree at Tacos and Tequilas was the winner of the two.
