Talk Turkey: Where to Get Your Thanksgiving Feast to Go

Time is certainly in short supply these days. So, this Thanksgiving save your time and don’t slave away in the kitchen. Here’s a comprehensive list of where to get your Thanksgiving feast to go! Support local businesses, y’all!

Wondering about restaurants that will be open? You won’t find that here. I believe that we have such little time to spend with friends and family that EVERYONE should have this American Holiday off so they can enjoy Thanksgiving with their loved ones. Bantam and Biddy – -For $200 you can get a feast that feeds 10-12. This include a 12-15 lb turkey, Sage and wild rice stuffing, cranberry sauce, cornbread, apple pie and more. Place your order by November 21 at 5 p.m. by emailing wecater@bantamandbiddy.com or call 404-725-5059.Ready for pick up on Wednesday, November 25 from 1-3 p.m. at the Crescent Avenue location ONLY.

Christophe’s To Go -Don’t spend in the kitchen all day this Thanksgiving! Let Chef Christophe do all the work. And the best part? They deliver it right to your door on Thanksgiving morning. No shopping, no cleaning, and no cooking. Get full meals delivered to you which includes turkey breast and sides. Or you make the Turkey and Christophe’s will deliver the sides These include cornbread stuffing, green bean casserole, asparagus and mushroom casserole. They’ve also got just sides available in case you are interested in making the Turkey yourself.

Foundation Social Eatery – This year, chef Mel Toledo of Foundation Social Eatery in Roswell is offering a Turkey Day to-go program featuring a limited number (25) of Thanksgiving dinners to-go for $125 for a four person meal, $250 for eight people, etc. FSE will provide a cider brined turkey breast, green bean almandine , stuffing and cranberry sauce.

Muss and Turner’s – It’s all about the sides here. You make a mean Turkey you say but it’s the sides you need help with? They’ve got 15 different sides to choose from including traditional Thanksgiving sides like stuffing, sweet potato casserole and potatoes but you can wow your guests with sides like Ligonberry puree, Truffled Pasta salad or Smoked Chicken Liver Mousse.

Ocean’s Catering – Four course meal to go. Pricing for complete holiday meals for parties of four is $134, parties of eight – $250, and parties of 12 – $375. The Pumpkin Soup starter sounds quite delicious as well as the many other offerings. Orders for all Thanksgiving to-go dinners must be placed by Monday November 23, 2015 at 12 p.m. in person or by calling 404.665.1495. Unless a special time is requested, all to-go dinners will be ready for pick-up Wednesday, November 25, 2015 before 3 p.m.

Parish – Enjoy this feast that includes 1 Turkey Breast, 1 of each side, and your choice of pie for $79! Package feeds 4-6 people. Sides like green bean casserole, stuffing and mac and cheese are between $10 and $11. Orders for PARISH’S menu items must be placed by Monday, November 23rd by 3 p.m. and can be picked up Wednesday, November 25th no later than 5 p.m.

PeachDish – So you say you want to make the meal all by yourself? Sure, but take a little help from PeachDish. The Southern-inspired, national meal kit delivery company is offering holiday boxes with all the ingredients & recipes needed to make classic holiday sides at home orders can be placed in advance at PeachDish.com. Starting at $50, holiday sides are available in 4-serving increments to feed as few as four or as many as 16 people. Each refrigerated box includes ingredients & Southern-inspired recipes to make Stuffing, Root Vegetables, Creamed Brussels Sprouts, Candied Sweet Potatoes and biscuits. They even have turkey breasts and hams available as an add on.

Smoke Ring – Castleberry Hill residents know the secret about their local spot for terrific turkeys! Smoke Ring is offering 14 pound turkeys with gravy for $70. Orders must be placed by November 22nd. Choose your favorite southern sides including collards, Brunswick stew, bacon and blue cheese potato salad , cornbread and more.

Sweet Auburn Barbecue – This Southern feast includes all your traditional Thanksgiving favorites: smoked turkey, cranberry sauce, biscuits or cornbread, creamed corn and for a unique alternative to green beans – lima beans with smoked bacon. The entire meal that feeds six is just $75. Or just order the turkey. A 12-14 bird is $75. To order call 678.515.3550; orders will be accepted until Sunday, November 22, at 3 p.m. and may be picked up Wednesday, November 25, between 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Tavernpointe – Outsource the cooking to the chef behind some of your favorite neighborhood restaurants. Chef Drew Van Leuvan of Tavernpointe, Seven Lamps and GRAIN is offering Thanksgiving dinner catering packages starting at $130 for four to six people. Besides a 15-18 pound smoked turkey, you’ll get a pear salad with pecans and blue cheese, cornbread stuffing with smoked bacon, green bean casserole with mushroom dressing, a Kentucky Derby pie! Pre-order meals by Monday, November 23 with a 50% deposit, then pick up your hot and ready feast the morning of Thanksgiving. Order by calling 404.549.3954.

Vine and Tap – Although you may know this Buckhead restaurant for its excellent wine list, crab cakes and magnificent oyster happy hour, consider them for your Turkey dinner. You’ll get a turkey breast, cranberry sauce and yesast rolls for $25 per person. Add other sides like green bean casserole or sweet potato puree for $3 per person. Order by Friday the 20th. The food will be ready for pickup Tuesday the 24th or Wednesday the 25th. As an added bonus, you’ll get owner, Ian’s personal wine recommendations along with a discount offer from a local retailer on those wines.

Wahoo! Grill – A 4 course Thanksgiving meal To-Go from this popular Decatur restaurant is $120. Feeding 6 to 8 people, this includes turkey breast, farmer’s salad with brie, pears, cranberries with a pumpkin seed vinaigrette. Sides include collards with bacon and Ancho-smoked gouda mac and cheese. Place your order by November 17th and pick up between 3 and 6 pm on Novebmer 25th. Oh yeah, dessert is bread pudding with a Bourbon glaze. Bonus: There’s Wahoo Wine and Provisions next door where you can pick up your wine to go with your Thanksgiving feast.

Queen of Cream – Oh my gosh! When I heard that Queen of Cream was doing specialty pies for Thanksgiving, it was a no brainer to get my Thanksgiving pies from them. I mean, if their ice cream is so amazing, can you imagine how good their pies are? So, here’s the deal: they are offering 4 different pie selections, each for $28. Choose from Traditional Apple, Pumpkin Brown Butter, Pecan or…get ready for this…Malted S’more Ice Cream Pie. All pies are made with an all-butter dough using European butter. The pecans and apples are both local.
