Zeal Opens in East Cobb

Located in strip mall in East Cobb, Zeal is a completely renovated version of it’s former space. There’s something a little sad about to me. It’s probably because I grew up going to the Empress of China, the restaurant formerly in Zeal’s space. The new layout is completely unrecognizable from it once was.

It is a sleek new design compared to the traditional style of Chinese restaurants. Besides being a new modern eatery, Zeal is poised as a late night option. Open until 1 am on weekends, the restaurant features sliders and flatbreads among other late night offerings.

To start, the Garden Hummus with spinach and kale is quite good as are Chicken Lollipops with Mango Chipotle sauce. Menu highlights are the scallops with garlic mashed potatoes with a roasted red pepper cream, stuffed Lamb and Mushroom Chicken. It may not be a destination restaurant, but for East Cobb it is a welcome addition.

Cool! This is the same shopping plaza where RedSky is — we will have to check it out soon. Thanks, Malika, for another great review.

We must have went somewhere different ! Small portions, confusion, very expensive and I’ve had better service at Outback.
Save your money, the chains offer better food and service than any of these. “New Eatdry’s ” on jonhnson ferry
