Although Mint Julep’s are thought of for Kentucky Derby Day, the actual Mint Julep Day is May 30. Here are several places to get your Mint Julep on.

Davio’s
Their concoction is unique Basil Mint Juelep (pictured at the top of the page). This will be served throughout the Month of May.

Lumen at The Ritz-Carlton
Atlanta downtown is offering a “southern skies julep” featuring bourbon, fresh blackberries, fresh mint, lemon juice, simple syrup and plum bitters.

Pittypat’s Porch
Enjoy this classic Southern cocktail in a rocking chair on the porch of a Southern mansion built in the late 19th century, and Atlanta’s longest continually operating restaurant.

Watershed on Peachtree
Perfectly prepared as a classic Mint Julep should be — crushed ice, Dib & Tucker Bourbon and served in a silver cup.

Cook Hall (off menu cocktail)
Although not officially listed on the cocktail menu, Cook Hall offers their specialty Lemongrass mint juleps year round.

Classic Mint Julep (Recipe courtesy Lovell Bros. Whiskey)
15 mint leaves (blemish-free)
1 teaspoons sugar
2 oz. Lovell Bros. Aged Whiskey
Ice
Classic mint julep cups

In a bowl, muddle the leaves and 2 teaspoons of sugar until it resembles a mash. Then, transfer to the julep cup, add at least 2 ounces of whiskey and ice.
