Atlanta, Valentine’s Day is upon us! If you are looking for something other than the typical romantic dinner, check out my list of Alternative ideas for Valentine’s Day.
Bottle Rocket (Castleberry Hill) – How do you roll? Can I suggest taking a Sushi Class at Bottle Rocket near Downtown Atlanta? The classes are available all during Valentine’s weekend. For $39, you get to make two different types of rolls with quality ingredients like crab, shrimp and tuna. Plus, you’ll get two cocktails. Two words: Sake. Bomb. Check out all the pictures from my sushi class here.
Atlanta Movie Tours – Is your idea of romance a movie marathon? Do you and your sweetie love The Walking Dead? If you live in Atlanta, you’re pretty lucky. Atlanta has quickly been dubbed the Hollywood of the South. Atlanta Movie Tours takes guests on 3-hour tours seeing the famous sights where movies were filmed or on The Walking Dead tour where you’ll get to see famous spots from the hit show.
CACAO – Chocolate surprise. If your SO loves chocolate, then you must spoil them with chocolate from Cacao. Skip that box of Russel Stover’s and get them something really indulgent.
D’Aartagnana – Decadent and burger? Do those words go together? They do when we’re talking about D’artagnan’s burger kit. Although a bit on the pricey side, this burger kit includes two half pounds patties, foie gras and truffle butter. All that’s missing is the bun. I suggest adding some Gruyere cheese and pairing with a bold red, perhaps a Super Tuscan. If you act fast, get it shipped to you for Valentine’s Day.
Andretti Karting – Switch up the normal Valentine’s Day romance routine and get your heart pumping with kart racing, interactive video games, obstacle courses and more. Stop by the Sky Bar at Andretti in Marietta from 8 – 11 p.m.
Reformation Brewery – Love Bites Trivia Night – Valentine’s Day with a special trivia night, whether you’re love sick or sick of love. Enjoy a sneak peek of the brewery’s next limited release, Barrel-Aged Pinot Noir Cadence, being released in Reformation’s Keeping Room on Friday, February 16. Wednesday, February 14, from 5 to 9 p.m.
Hal’s Kitchen – Going out to dinner on Valentine’s Day is so passe. But cooking a meal together is sexy. Hal’s Kitchen in Sandy Springs has you covered. I love that the staff here is so warm and friendly and makes cooking a breeze. You’ll be making tasty treats over multiple courses. Classes will fill up fast, so book early.
I love brunch and thought Valentine’s Day doesn’t fall on Brunch, you can still celebrate it that way. Head to Ladybird on the Atlanta Beltline for a fabulous brunch to celebrate Valentine’s Day or any time.
