Atlantic Seafood Company: Chillin’ in Alpharetta

I’d driven by Atlantic Seafood Company many times, not realizing that it was a gorgeous restaurant. Something about the name makes me think they are a restaurant supplier. But whether you want a change of scenery from your office at lunch, are planning a business dinner or private function or just want a romantic date night, Atlantic Seafood has you covered. Yes all those things.

Atlantic Seafood Company has several private dining rooms, a sushi bar where you can see your sushi being prepared as well as a spacious dining room perfect for small gatherings. My round booth was perfect: it offered privacy you’d want for a date but still left me with a fantastic vantage point to the sushi making action.

Squid Salad, Seaweed Salad and Crab Cake

Atlantic Seafood Company has a mammouth menu to match is expansive space. While we couldn’t resist a crab cake, we still had to steal some ideas from the sushi menu: Seaweed salad + Squid salad (marinated squid, octopus, cucumber, sweet soy vinaigrette). While I enjoyed the crab cake, it is kind of pricey for two sharing, while the latter appetizers are so affordable, priced at $5 and $7 respectively.

Oysters at Atlantic Seafood Company

Like Oysters? Then you’ll want to give ’em a try at Atlantic Seafood Company. Choose from raw, Char-grilled or crab and bacon. No choice is a bad one. But we really savored the crab and bacon. And remember how I said we were facing the sushi bar. I couldn’t resist getting one role, the Psychedelic one, made with tuna, salmon, and the most delicious combination of curry aioli, eel sauce and scallion oil.

L: Seabass, R: Mixed Grill

Are you counting? Yeah, that’s like 5 appetizers. But how could we leave without sampling a main dish or two, right? With about a dozen to choose from, I easily picked Chilean Seabass, with a soy-honey glaze, this comes atop a sticky rice cake with a wasabi beurre blanc. It was light, creamy and buttery. While hubby’s mixed grill was a tremendous amount of food, the shrimp and scallops were slightly overdone. However, the ribeye that accompanied the dish was perfect.

ASC Cappuccino with Orange Creamsicle Panna Cotta

You have to order dessert at Atlantic Seafood Company. Specificaly, the Orange-Creamsicle Panna Cotta, cause you’ve probably never had anything like it. Pair that with the specialty Atlantic Seafood Company Cappuccino with Crème de Cacao and Brandy and that is one sweet ending.
