Don’t fall victim to this ‘Mean Girls’ weight loss scam
Losing weight can be a tough journey. And it can be even tougher when the tools you’re using are working against you. One such tool that has been marketed as a weight-loss aid is the Bioma weight loss pill. The constant barrage of ads on social media and their social proof made me decide to give it a try to help kickstart a weight loss of 15 pounds. I purchased a 3 month supply of the pills which cost me about $100. Here’s how my 6 weeks on Bioma went.
Now, I’m not severely obese, nor do I eat unhealthy foods. I do not eat fast food and rarely keep junk food in the house. Disclosure: my once a week vice is pizza on Fridays. Other than that, I cook most of my meals and eat a balanced diet. I go on walked about 3-4 times a week in addition to working out with weights at my gym at least 3 times a week. So I am certainly active.
However, at a certain age, a women’s body often will just not cooperate even when doing all the right things to stay in shape. Searching for a solution, I have tried several popular weight loss shakes, etc I’ve seen on social media, but not one has helped.
I thought Bioma might be different. Let’s take a deeper look at this weight gain culprit masquerading as a weight loss solution.
- The Irony of Weight Gain: The Bioma weight loss pill is designed to aid in weight loss, but ironically, it’s doing just the opposite. Within about 3 weeks of taking Bioma I started packing on the pounds. This is counterproductive, as the main goal of a weight loss pill should be to assist in dropping pounds, not adding them on!
- The Deception: Marketing plays a significant role in how products are perceived. The Bioma weight loss pill was promoted as a solution for those struggling with weight loss, but the reality is far from it. Though I didn’t feel more or less hungry with Bioma, I continued a healthy diet and exercise as normal, but still gained weight.
- The Side Effects: Apart from the weight gain, I noticed that my sleep pattern was terrible. I had an incredibly hard time falling asleep and sleeping through the night while I was on Bioma. I’ve heard from countless sources that when you don’t sleep well this can add to weight gain.
- The Better Alternatives: Instead of resorting to quick fixes like the Bioma weight loss pill, consider healthier and more effective alternatives. Proper diet, regular exercise, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle are proven methods for losing weight and keeping it off in the long term.
I reached out to customer support to make them aware and ask for a refund because it didn’t work. They backpaddled saying they never claim to use it for weight loss. Um, if this ad below isn’t proof of them claiming they are for weight loss I don’t know what is.
Conclusion: It’s important to be vigilant and informed when it comes to weight loss solutions. The Bioma weight loss pill is a clear example of a product that promises one thing but delivers another. Instead of aiding in weight loss, it leads to weight gain and a host of other side effects. So, before you fall for the allure of a quick fix, remember that the best approach to weight loss is a balanced diet and regular exercise. Don’t let false advertising weigh you down on your journey to health and fitness.
