Get dinner on the table in 20 minutes or less with Dinner Thyme!
If your Facebook feed is anything like mine, you are bombarded with ad after ad advertising the latest meal delivery company. I’ve tried a couple in the past, and I always thought that the amount of prep work involved was quite a bit. So, the meal kit saves you a trip to the grocery but you still have to do all the cutting, chopping, measuring, etc.
That’s one way Dinner Thyme is different. There are nine menu options each week and Dinner Thyme has all new selections each week (see a sample of three selections below). Not only is Dinner Thyme’s website full of the pictures of the meals, so you know what to expect, but each meal had detailed nutritional information. So, if you are looking for low fat opt for the salmon instead of the chorizo and gnocchi. Packed with lots of ice, your food delivery is kept cool even if you are at work all day. According to Dinner Thyme, food is good for up to four days when stored in the refrigerator.

Everything from Dinner Thyme is chopped and packaged efficiently, so it takes up little room in your fridge. Also, if you order enough for two or more portions they are packaged together which is nice.
What you need to know:
- There are plenty of meal options
- Dinner Thyme has vegetarian and other dietary restriction friendly meals
- Meals are between $10 and $12 per portion
- Minimum orders are $40, it’s $60 to qualify for free shipping.
- No contract is necessary
Below is the chorizo and gnocchi dish I ordered from Dinner Thyme. On the left, see all the ingredients in them my dinner kit. Since I had two meals delivered from Dinner Thyme, they label the different meals with stickers so you can easily tell them apart. See the “A” on all the packets in the picture on the left. I also really liked how easy the packages were to get open.
If there is any criticism, it would be for the second meal, a jerk chicken with curry rice. The rice portion was way more than the chicken, and it was incredibly bland.
It was hard to pick from all the tempting options that Dinner Thyme has available. I looked online at the menus for the next several weeks. Here are some of the tempting options available.
- Wasabi Crusted Salmon with Sweet Potato Succotash
- Chicken Piccata with Capers Over Linguine
- Almond Crusted Tofu with Cauliflower Fried Rice
Though the portions I got were for two people, I had leftovers for at least one other serving, so you’re ready for lunch “thyme” too! If you’d like to try Dinner Thyme, you can sign up for their site here. My meals were provided complimentary, but the opinions expressed are my own.
