Frolick with Fairies at this lodge / romantic getaway in Helen, GA
No, there aren’t actual fairies at this romantic bed and breakfast in Helen. But there are these cute fairies on all the wine bottles, plus other whimsical fairy decor throughout the Sylvan Valley Lodge in Helen / Sautee, GA.
We had such an amazing dinner in the spring at Sylvan Valley lodge in North Georgia last spring. The chef made an incredible 5 course meal for us that paired perfectly with all the wines that they have at this Helen, GA winery. So, when we decided to come back in the fall for the Spirit of Appalachia, it was a no brainer to stay at Sylvan Valley Lodge. I mean, just look how cute their wine bottles bar? They ALL have fairies on them!
The rooms at this North Georgia lodge and winery have all been redone. Comfy four post beds ensure a perfect slumber and curtains block out any sunlight so you can sleep in. It was a perfect romantic getaway for Glen and I.
We had a blast at the Hardman farm to table dinner on the eve of the Spirit of Appalachia. It was so comforting to just have a short drive back to our room. Oh and breakfast is included with your stay at Sylvan Valley Lodge. The owners, John and Ginevra Boyes are truly fantastic hosts. They see to all the little details here. Fresh cream was in our in room fridge so that we could enjoy the best coffee on our patio. Plus, eggs and sausage are locally sourced as well.
But you don’t want to rush to get to into “town” when you are staying at this romantic North Georgia bed and breakfast. Especially if you visit during fall like I did and you can enjoy the nature all around. There’s several lovely spots outdoors for enjoying a crips fall day and lounging in one of their comfy chairs and getting lost in a novel.
