The Local Pizzaiolo gives customers what they want – a fast, casual spot that uses high-quality ingredients and delivers an authentic taste, but doesn’t break the bank.

“I only live once” is the motto at The Local Pizzaiolo. Merging the phrase with their handcrafted pizza pies is what gives the new Westside pizza concept its unique name – Pizzaiolo. Bridging the gap between local pizza chains and Atlanta’s infamous boutique pizzerias. Not to mention, they have Giulio Adriani, as the mastermind behind the kitchen ensuring that each pizza created is made to perfection. Giulio grew up in Rome and learned the art of pizza making from his Neapolitan grandmother before training under some of the world’s most famous pizza masters and winning several awards of his own. Lucky for us Atlantans, we can now eat pizza from this award winning pizza expert on a daily basis!
The hardest thing you’ll have to do at The Local Pizzaiolo is decide what pizza to order. With a variety of choices from the simple Margherita pizza made with San Marzano tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and basil to the more complex Gypsy pie made with wild mushrooms, aged provolone cheese, béchamel sauce and truffle oil (one my personal favorites) you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu that you choose. This family friendly eatery will have something for all ages, including a bar that serves wine, curated cocktails and local craft beer.
Pizza isn’t the only thing that is churning out of the kitchen at The Local Pizzaiolo. They also serve healthy salads, like the Italia Superfood Salad made with baby kale, red quinoa, peppers, avocado and honey vinaigrette or the Harvest Grain Bowl made with farro, arugula, roasted corn, cherry tomatoes and fresh mozzarella. Be sure to leave room for dessert, The Local Pizzaiolo has a fun gelato bar with rotating flavors (lemon ice box cake was definitely my favorite) and delicious Nutella bites topped with powdered sugar and whipped cream.
Whether you are making dinner plans for the family, hanging out in Atlanta’s hip Westside, or just looking for a new restaurant to add to your list of places to try, The Local Pizzaiolo is definitely a must try.
