The Metropolitan Cooking and Entertaining Show is taking place this weekend at the Cobb Galleria Center. What is it exactly? It is an event that will feature more than 200 companies ranging from specialty food companies, caterers, stationers and party planners to kitchen planners, personal chefs, and appliance manufacturers, just to mention a few. The purpose of the show is to get you interested in cooking and hosting events.

Celebrity chefs will also be there for book signings. On the schedule are Paula Deen, Tyler Florence, Guy Fieri, and The Neelys. Tickets for these events range in price from $25 to $75. However, Paula Deen is now sold out. But you can still get general admission to the show for $20 a ticket. And, there will be lots of cooking demonstrations from local chefs as well. You general admission gets you in to these demos. How cool is that?

So, for 20 bucks you’ll gain admission to the Metropolitan Cooking and Entertaining show and get to see new cooking gadgets, hear about new trends and even sample some yummy offerings. Not only that, but you’ll get to attend cooking demos from well known Atlanta restaurants like Kyma, Aria, Shaun’s, Rathbun’s Roy’s, and Bacchanalia.

I also read on the site that Richard Blais will be making an appearance at the show on Saturday. Chef Blais is most well known from his appearance on Top Chef and from his popular Atlanta restaurant HOME. He’ll be at the Curry Simple booth #303 from 1 – 3 on Saturday.
