I partied with Chef Shane McIntosh at his ‘Screw Resolutions’ evening atop the Tribute Lofts overlooking Atlanta. Ocean Catering Company, owned by Chef Shane, teamed up with Caren West PR to showcase the talents of Shane and his culinary companions. Shane wanted to be a rock star and after 15 minutes of conversation with him, there is no doubt Shane possess the charisma and energy of a rock star with a passion for a being the creator of an awesome party. Chef Shane is poised for all that is about to happen. Stay tuned to the Ocean Catering team to discover what they have in store.

“Featuring tastes to test any resolve” the menu title for the evening. Thankfully attendees failed this test and relished in Angus sliders with apple smoked bacon, seared fois gras and melted Brie cheese. Smoke pork sloppy joes with purple cabbage slaw, baked Brie, fruit bowls, passed hors d’oeuvres, fresh potato chips and dip among other temptations undoubtedly had attendees dismissing their diet resolutions on this evening.

Make ’em see red … All eyes were drawn to the mini red crockery upon the dessert table. The menu states mini crème brulee’s. If these are minis, how huge is a full-sized? These were a focal point and another example of how Ocean Catering sets themselves apart.

What’s a party without a bar? Wild Heaven Craft Beer President, Nick Purdy was pouring “Let there be light” and Jesse Altman, Founder and Managing Partner of Whynatte, mixed up Pinnacle Whipped Vodka for their signature Whippet. These local entrepreneurs are appreciated for their great products and good hearts in always supporting local.

I departed recounting the view of our city, boldly flavored food and the dedication of this culinary team. Arriving early afforded me the opportunity to witness final event preparations. His assistants executed each plate with precision. Their tone is casual with serious, professional focus. Having seen the dedication and hearing of plans for Ocean Catering Company, they may soon find themselves in a wave of success.
