Complimentary Margarita upon check in at Hotel Valencia in San Antonio

We’ve all been to hotels that offer fruit infused water throughout the day. It’s good to stay hydrated. But what if a hotel offered a complimentary margarita upon check in? That’s exactly what you can expect when you check into Hotel Valencia in San Antonio! They’ve got an infuser but (Surprise!) it’s full of margaritas and not water. You can hydrate later.

I don’t think there’s a bad place to stay in San Antonio. The entire city seems lovely and everywhere we went, people were so friendly. But isn’t it nice to be near all the action (and I mean the Riverwalk) when you are in San Antonio? The hotel has the perfect location, steps from terrific restaurants and the Riverwalk for a romantic stroll any time of day!

Rooms with balconies at the Valencia Hotel in San Antonio

There are hotel rooms that have balconies and then there are hotel rooms that have balconies. You know what I mean? Those binky balconies that you can barley step onto? Who needs or wants them. But at Hotel Valencia they do it right. The balconies are large and even have a table setup so you can enjoy your morning coffee or a drink at night. And the best part? Balconies overlook the courtyard and there’s the tranquil sounds of the lovely fountain. We just left our doors open many evenings to enjoy the sounds.

Tango in the Courtyard – special event at Hotel Valencia – best hotel for couples in San Antonio

One terrific feature of the hotel is that many of the rooms overlook a charming courtyard. The San Antonio hotel had the superb idea to take advantage of the courtyard for more than just an empty canvas. They hired tango dancers to put on a show. But what’s so fun is they deliver a bottle of wine and a small charcuterie plate to your room so you can enjoy some drinks and a show without ever having to leave the comfort of your hotel room…err….balcony. How fun!

Live music nightly at the Hotel Valencia in San Antonio

You know what’s great after a long day out seeing the city, walking along the San Antonio Riverwalk, and being the fresh air? Coming back to your stately hotel and being serenaded with live music. At The Hotel Valencia in San Antonio, there is live music nearly every night! And there’s more than one featured style to enjoy. There’s a Latin Guitarist that plays in the lobby Tuesdays through Saturdays from 5 to 7 pm. Then there’s a Latin Jazz band that plays Thursdays through Saturdays from 7:30 to 10:30 pm.

Mezcal and Tequila Bar at Hotel Valencia

If you and your lover are fans of Tequila and / or Mezcal you’ll want to check out the one-of-a-kind cocktails lounge inside the Hotel Valencia. If you are staying at the Hotel you only have to take the elevator downstairs to enjoy a variety of blanco, reposado, añejo, and an incredible list of Mezcals.

Large rooms with plenty of space to spread around at San Antonio’s Hotel Valencia

Everything’s bigger in Texas, they say. And the rooms at Hotel Valencia are no exception. The bathroom is spacious with enough room for you and your partner to have space in front of the mirror. But more than that I loved the long (spanning the length of a wall) counter. It was great to be able to spread things out and have plenty of space for our belongings.

Don’t leave without making a wish and snapping a photo in front of the gorgeous fountain on the main floor of the hotel lobby. You can find out more about this perfect spot for couples in San Antonio, Hotel Valencia, here.
