Holiday cookies are getting a makeover this year at Dairy Queen, thanks to the Blizzard! The Holiday Cookie Swap Blizzard Treat Collection will be offered beginning November 2nd through January 3rd, 2027 from U.S. participating locations. There are also other offers such as an upgrade to an $8 Meal Deal, and a limited Friendsgiving cupcake offer. The availability is subject to store; best to make sure of local options by checking the DQ app.
Peanut Butter Blossom is the new flavor

The new peanut butter cookie topped with a chocolate kiss inspired Peanut Butter Blossom Blizzard. Dairy Queen pours a vanilla soft serve with a topping of Hershey’s Mini Kisses, cookie pieces and peanut butter. The melding is designed to capture the familiar cookie taste on a spoonful. This is the first time this particular cookie has been seen as a Blizzard.
Peppermint Bark returns for another season

First introduced in 2025, the Peppermint Bark Blizzard combines milk and white chocolatey layers with peppermint candy cane pieces in soft serve.Dairy Queen brought it back as part of the Cookie Swap collection. The cool peppermint notes pair with the creamy soft serve for a classic seasonal flavor.
Both flavors run through early January

The entire Holiday Cookie Swap line is sold from November 2, 2026 to January 3, 2027. That window is Thanksgiving, Christmas and the New Year’s. Suplies and actual menu items may vary by location, says Dairy Queen. The chain advises people to check the app or call ahead if there’s a certain flavor they need.
The $8 meal deal gets a Blizzard upgrade

Dairy Queen’s $8 Meal Deal includes Chicken Strips or an Original Cheeseburger, fries, a drink, and a sundae. For $2 extra, customers can upgrade the sundae to any Blizzard, including new holiday flavors. This offer will be available for a limited time at participating stores. It provides a convenient method for serving one of the seasonal treats with a full meal.
Friendsgiving cupcakes arrive at a fixed price

From November 2 through November 29, participating locations offer two cupcakes for $6. Dairy Queen describes the deal as a sweet option for Friendsgiving gatherings or a Thanksgiving dessert table. The promotion is available to DQ Rewards members. Like other offers, it is limited to participating stores and subject to the chain’s standard terms.
DQ Rewards unlocks the deals

The majority of the seasonal deals need the free DQ Rewards account which can be done by the Dairy Queen website or app. It can take up to 24 hours to see the deal once you register. It also allows the monitoring of local pricing and availability of items.
Cookie swap tradition gets a frozen twist

The collection was based around the ongoing holiday tradition of swapping cookies, with the theme of the holiday coined by Dairy Queen. Just take the Peanut Butter Blossom and Peppermint Bark cookies and make them into Blizzards!
Limited-time window creates a clear timeline

The Blizzards and its backups are planned to be released over a specific time period and not a free-for-all. The lotteries for main collection close on January 3 and for cupcakes on November 29. That structure helps customers plan visits around the holiday season. Once the dates pass, the specific flavors and promotions are expected to leave menus until a future seasonal return.
