Get ready for a vibrant autumn weekend as downtown Providence hosts an exciting celebration this October. According to Hey Rhody Media Co, Track 15 is transforming the outdoor plaza at Union Station into a massive autumn gathering. Running from October 16 to 18, this event blends regional flavors with family entertainment. From artisan markets and unique seasonal beverages to live performances, it captures the complete fall experience right in the city center.
Track 15 takes over Union Station

You really have to check out what they are doing at Track 15 this weekend because the whole plaza at Union Station is turning into a massive fall party. They are basically taking all the best things about October except for apple picking and putting them right in downtown Providence. It runs from October 16 to 18 so you have plenty of time to stop by and check out the artisan market.
Trying out the beer brûlée

Friday night brings something totally unusual from Moniker Brewery and you will want to taste it. They are doing this German practice called hot pokies where they plunge a red hot iron rod into dark lager. It caramelizes the foam on top and makes it taste like a beer brûlée. I honestly think it sounds amazing and totally perfect for a cold fall evening.
Tarot cards and hot tamales

You can grab some amazing food while you hang out and listen to live music from Heidi Farmer and Jon Tyler. Dolores is going to be there serving up fresh tamales which are always a huge hit. You can even stop by the West of the Moon booth to get your tarot cards read if you want to know your future.
Hanging with creepy crawlies

Saturday afternoon is going to get a little bit wild because the Roger Williams Park Zoo is bringing their Creepy Crawlies program. This happens from 1 to 3 in the afternoon and it is a fun way for kids to see some interesting bugs up close. Just try not to jump if a giant spider gets a little too close to you!
Painting pumpkins together

It would not be a real fall festival without some kind of pumpkin activity for the family. Kids can spend some time painting their own pumpkins and doing all sorts of other crafts during the day. It is a great way to keep them busy while you sip on a drink and enjoy the local vendors.
Family costume contest time

Make sure you get your outfits ready because Saturday features a big costume contest for kids and families. The contest kicks off at 4 in the afternoon so do not be late if you want to show off your looks. It is honestly hilarious seeing all the creative things people come up with every single year.
Spooky carved pumpkins

If you love looking at pumpkin art you are in for a real treat at this festival. They are bringing in carved pumpkins straight from the famous Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular at the zoo to decorate the plaza. These pumpkins add some classic October scenery to the whole vibe and they look super cool once the sun goes down.
Catching the WaterFire lighting

The timing for this festival is honestly perfect because there is a full WaterFire lighting happening right downtown on Saturday. The fires start getting lit around 6 in the evening which just extends the party right into the night. You can shop at the vendor market and then wander over to watch the fires along the river.
Sunday football and chill

Sundays are for football and the festival totally understands the assignment. Track 15 is putting the Patriots game on TVs all over the food hall and the outdoor plaza so you will not miss a single play. You can just grab some food and chill with a crowd of fans while you watch the game.
Movies under the stars

Every night ends with family friendly Halloween movies playing after the sun sets. They actually have blankets available for anyone who wants to settle in on the lawn and get cozy. It is the best way to wrap up a long day of eating and hanging out with friends.
