Happy National Donut Day! Where to Celebrate in Atlanta

national-doughnut-day

Whether you spell it doughnut or donut, here’s a short list of some of my favorite Donut spots in Atlanta!

DaVinci’s Doughnuts
Want to create your own doughnuts? You can at DaVinci’s Doughnuts. DaVinci’s Donuts are like old fashioned donuts, with a cake-like quality. You’ll use these as your canvas and choose your favorite toppings and glaze. And the good news is that they are just 60 calories. Of course, that doesn’t include the toppings, like oreo, fruity pebbles or raspberry glaze…but still.

Duck Donuts
The famous Duck Donut is a freshly-made vanilla cake donut that you coat, top and drizzle as you wish. Kinda like DaVinci’s above, you can customize your treat. Limited time options include Key lime and others. I did LOVE their maple bacon one, though!!

Sublime Doughnuts
Located in an unassuming strip mall in West Midtown, Sublime is my first choice when it comes to donuts. My two favorites are the Strawberry Cream – real strawberries and cream and sandwiched between two glazed donuts and the A-Town, so creamy and delicious.
535 10th St., Atlanta, 404-897-1801

Revolution Doughnuts
Though their claim to fame is the Orange Pistachio, the Nutella Cream Puff would be my choice. If you can’t make it there, they also pop up at different farmer’s markets around Atlanta too. Personally, I fell in love with this peach doughnut they made especially for Peachfest last year!
908 W. College Ave, Decatur, 678-927-9920

Ray’s Donuts
Though it is a bit of a drive to Marietta, Ray’s certainly has some fabulous donuts. They have the classic dounut down! And bonus: the staff often will throw in donut holes “for the ride home.”
4805 Canton Rd., Marietta, 770-485-2448

Donuts make me happy, and I hope they make you happy too! Enjoy National Doughnut Day or any day with these great spots for those sweet bites!
