Whether you spell it doughnut or donut, here’s a short list of some of my favorite Donut spots in Atlanta!
Bon Glaze doughnuts are amazing! They have about twenty different flavors of doughnuts at Bon Glaze and believe me it is a difficult decision. You’ll be tempted by the Peanut and Berry, Campfire (Bon Glaze’s take on s’mores), Nutella with Chocolate Mousse or Strawberries and Creme. But I love the specialty doughnuts like Salted Caramel Balsamic, Orange Fanta, and Nanner (banana glaze and peanut butter). I could go on and on, but just trust me and go try Bon Glaze out if you haven’t already!
Want to create your own doughnuts? You can at DaVinci’s Doughnuts. DaVinci’s Donuts are like old fashioned donuts, with a cake-like quality. You’ll use these as your canvas and choose your favorite toppings and glaze. And the good news is that they are just 60 calories. Of course, that doesn’t include the toppings, like oreo, fruity pebbles or raspberry glaze…but still.
The famous Duck Donut is a freshly-made vanilla cake donut that you coat, top and drizzle as you wish. Kinda like DaVinci’s above, you can customize your treat. Limited time options include Key lime and others. I did LOVE their maple bacon one, though!!
Located in an unassuming strip mall in West Midtown, Sublime is my first choice when it comes to donuts. My two favorites are the Strawberry Cream – real strawberries and cream and sandwiched between two glazed donuts and the A-Town, so creamy and delicious.

Though their claim to fame is the Orange Pistachio, the Nutella Cream Puff would be my choice. If you can’t make it there, they also pop up at different farmer’s markets around Atlanta too.

Though it is a bit of a drive to Marietta, Ray’s certainly has some fabulous donuts. They have the classic dounut down! And bonus: the staff often will throw in donut holes “for the ride home.”
