Can I tell you a secret? I NEVER make New Year’s resolutions. It just seems so pointless. Each and every year, I see my gym awash with yet a new crew of well intentioned people who quit within a month. For me, my health regimen is more than a fad diet, or on again off again thing. Instead my health is something I work on daily. And one of the things that is paramount is what I’m putting in my body. I love that when those cravings strike, I can fight back with a glass of Metamucil.

The essentials in my bathroom cabinet: BP monitor, Ibuprofen, Colloidal Silver, Antacid, Rubbing alcohol, Hydrogen Peroxide and Metamucil!
As a petite person, I’m truly cursed with the proclivity to be overweight. That and the fact that I’m a food lover and food writer, I just can’t have lackadaisical attitude toward my body. Oh and, fun bonus, my health insurance dictates I must be under a certain BMI each year or I pay an extra $200 a month for insurance. How’s that for an incentive to stay healthy?
So what’s my plan of attack for staying healthy and keeping my weight in check (as best as I can)? Two things: keep moving. I hit the gym every other day, or at least that’s my goal. And, the second is keeping a vigil on what I eat at home. My hunger cravings start around 3 or 4 pm, and I know I could reach into the pantry and snack on crackers or any sort of bad-for-you, full-of-empty-calories carb, but instead I fuel up on Metamucil. It keeps me full until dinner so I don’t eat a lot of extra calories. An added bonus is the fiber that I get with each glass too!

I keep an extra bottle of Metamucil in my “supply” drawer so I never run out.
But I wouldn’t put just any supplement in my body. Artificial chemicals and fake sweeteners are no bueno in book. Metamucil Premium Blend is sweetened with plant-based Stevia with not artificial ingredients. So, I don’t worry about my body trying to process a chemicals. You can pick of a bottle of Metamucil Premium Blend at Walmart.
Cool! This is the same shopping plaza where RedSky is — we will have to check it out soon. Thanks, Malika, for another great review.
