You sound like you’re reading this directly off of Beach TV. Panama City Beach is at best, an average destination for eating with very few stellar restaurants. Sadly disappointing when one moves here and realizes that there is no authentic Sushi, Mexican, Vietnamese, or Chinese to be had.
Captain Anderson’s is a tourist trap! The quality of the food is mediocre at best. Were it not for the family name it would have been out of business long ago. Take it from a local, there are plenty of better seafood restaurants.
