A natural honey mustard perfect for dips and dressing made with all natural ingredients
Dougies Honey Mustard Dressing is a sweet and tangy sauce made with pineapples, honey, mustard, mayo, and a special blend of spices and herbs. It was started by Doug Myers, who started developing the sauces and giving them away to friends and family. After several years, and all the accolades and encouragement from them, he decided that it was time he started to share his creations with more than just his peeps and began professionally bottling Dougies sauces.
Doug reached out to me personally (yep, still a small business) to give his honey mustard dressing a try. It’s definitely more unique than any honey mustard I’ve ever had. Maybe it is the pineapple. Or perhaps it is the fresh herbs. I could taste the thyme in it as I ate my salad.
So far, I’ve experimented with a couple simple items: a ham and swiss sandwich as well as a salad with chicken breast. Since ham and pineapple go hand in hand, this was a natural fit and I enjoyed it on the olive bread that my hubby baked. But it was the chicken that I really felt this dressing was the best with. Doug said it’s pretty popular as a dipper for chicken tenders and I could totally see that. I can’t wait to experiment with some form of a cuban sandwich using the sauce.
My husband hates mayo and though this was the first ingredient listed on the bottle, it wasn’t too creamy for him. I barely had a bite of the salad I prepared for myself, before he wolfed it down. The flavors of honey and pineapple along with the herbs came through in every taste.
